United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) is a world-renowned semiconductor wafer foundry. Its subsidiary in Singapore is primarily responsible for wafer manufacturing and semiconductor foundry operations. Semiconductor fabrication imposes extremely stringent requirements on power supply continuity—tens of thousands of wafers move through equipment every single day. Ensuring the stable operation of all this relies on the batteries quietly working away in the equipment rooms—but are they healthy? Has internal resistance increased? Are the terminals overheating? This time, RuiLeite has reinforced the power safety defenses for United Microelectronics Corporation (Singapore Branch).
This project covered over a thousand batteries distributed across multiple critical equipment rooms and power distribution rooms. From on-site surveying to system integration, the project team overcame challenges such as constrained construction conditions and demanding anti-interference requirements for data. As all the green indicator lights on the background screen lit up, "Data is coming in!"—the voltage, internal resistance, and temperature of every single battery were clearly displayed, ultimately achieving stable integration of all thousand-plus modules.
From installation and commissioning to daily alerts and health management, the system resolves the anxieties of operation and maintenance personnel—"can't check, can't judge accurately, can't replace in time." With "knowing the situation inside and out," the team can respond quickly to any power fluctuations or hidden risks.
These battery monitoring modules, honed through "countless trials" in numerous data centers, will directly reduce manual labor input and subsequent O&M costs for users, while delivering more stable and reliable protection. From deep roots in the domestic market to expanding coverage across multiple countries, the battery monitoring service industry continues to grow. We look forward to helping more users around the world achieve safer power protection in the future.
